Apesi Real Name, Date of Birth and Education
Apesi was born on 10th November of 1995 at the famous Russia Hospital in Kisumu. His birth name or rather official name is Stanley Otieno Obunga but he settled on Apesi Mnyama Mkali as his stage name in music. He will celebrate his 29th birthday come November this year 2024. Apesi is from Kisumu county and he is a Luo by tribe.

Apesi joined Eldorok Academy in Eldoret in the year 2000 as this is where his parents were working. He started his nursery school here but would later transfer to Migosi primary in Kisumu in 2004. This is where he sat his KCPE exams in 2009 before proceeding to Kisumu Day High school for his secondary education and sat the KCSE exams in 2013. Apesi joined a collage to study Filming and Scripting for two years.
Apesi Musical Career and his Songs
He started as simple as a cover artist where he used to do cover of songs of some local and international artists. However, back in school, he used to entertain his fellow students and was the face of all manner of entertainment within the school which also formed the background of his career. Apesi used to take part in the Poetic Hour event which paved the way to work with the CBK Music band. Thus band started recording for him his songs.

Apesi has done a lot as far as music is concerned. From performing mostly in European countries to doing several songs and collabos. Other than music, he is a voice coach at One Vibe Africa Kisumu, he is a songwritter and stage manager. His style of music is Afro-benga music of which some people call Trad-urban sound.
